What does the 'J ' mean?

The 'J' obviously stands for Jesus. The upper portion was designed to resemble a trumpet for 'proclaiming His fame.' The lower part contains a fishing hook which is a very recognized symbol for winning the lost. At a distance, many have mistakenly thought the upper part was a nail which nevertheless conveys a consistent picture of Christ!

How are the 'J's made?

The 'J's are made of pewter, then silver or gold-plated and measure apprx. 18x20mm. The majority of the chains are handmade. Each jewelry style, mounted on a uniquely created, attractive card containing a powerful message, makes a wonderful gift idea for family or friends.

Why wear a 'J ' ?

Jesus paid an enormous price to make us His own. When we choose to become a child of God by making Jesus Lord of our lives, He becomes our priority. Wearing a 'J' is a natural way for a follower of His to demonstrate to Him and to the world that you belong to Him and that He is the One you love most. It is a way of exalting His name, not your own. It is also a wonderful way of remembering Him in the midst of the busy, hectic and often self-centered lives in which we all seem to get caught up. The concept is similar to an ancient Jewish practice where the name or image of a loved one (usually the one betrothed to) was imprinted into a clay seal, then worn as jewelry near the heart or on the arm. (Song of Solomon 8:6)

What is the story of the 'J ' ?

God prompted this concept during a time of difficult physical suffering in my life and of simply seeking His kingdom first. I was not seeking a jewelry or t-shirt business; rather, He planted this concept into my heart very early one morning while at my bedside in prayer. Following major back surgery, intense pain had made sleep very often impossible and prayer had become the only mechanism by which I could endure. That morning, the Lord used what I thought was simply my mind wandering as I started thinking about 'initials' to prompt instead the idea of wearing His initial, not our own. He reminded me that He bought us and that those of us who are His children now belong to Him. I agreed with Him that the concept was wonderful but never expected He wanted me to make them! Over the next several months, though, it became apparent that He wanted us to take this beautiful idea of His and make it a reality. Through inspiration from Him, the 'J' prototype was designed and Wear His Name Designs was launched. As typical with Jesus, however, His creativity is unending; therefore, what started as a company making 'J's to "Treasure His Initial" has become also one of designing t-shirt images as a way to 'Treasure Clothing that Honors Him." He alone knows what will be next!
